Developing Safer Routes to School - Worcestershire County Council install further Zebrite Belisha Beacons at crossings in Droitwich Spa and Stourport-on-Severn.  The enhanced crossings are much more visible than before and with the works completed at three sites on the same day the roll out is non-disruptive, simple and cost-effective.

The Post Top Beacons can be quickly installed to existing posts without any excavation or post replacement. As well as the obvious conspicuity improvements, the all LED technology saves energy and removes the need for costly maintenance visits.

Site 1 Queen Street, Droitwich Spa

This pretty Town Centre location is a busy route for vehicles and pedestrians. With side road junctions, traffic lights and parked vehicles the zebra crossing was becoming lost. The simple addition of Zebrite Beacons has ensured that the crossing will stand out.

Site 2 Worcester Road, Droitwich Spa

A long straight route out of Town to the bypass and a key route to local schools, the crossing is now visible for at least 500 metres in both directions.
