Using the same robust materials as the original zebrite beacon, the mid-post brings increased versatility allowing the belisha beacons to be mounted directly onto the street light used to illuminate the crossing.

The easy-to-install design allows existing zebra crossings to be quickly and neatly upgraded, improving visibility of the crossing without the need for excavation to install illuminated posts, or the cost and disruption caused by installing a puffin crossing.
